Hush

Privacy Policy

Hush does not open your microphone, does not record audio, does not transcribe speech, and does not send your voice or conversations anywhere. The desktop app only reads the Windows “microphone in use” signal (and the process names Windows associates with it) to decide whether to duck volume.

Settings such as duck level, pause, and language stay on your PC.

To run the product we may process: (a) a one-way hash of a machine identifier so a trial cannot be reset by reinstalling; (b) account identity from the sign-in provider (for example your Google email) and device pairing or heartbeat data so the license can be enforced on two PCs; (c) anonymous counters (launches, duck events, failures) and app version to see if the product works — not audio and not what you said; (d) messages and screenshots you choose to send through support.

We have no technical access to what you say. Your voice, speech, and conversations with other apps never reach us — we cannot obtain that data and we do not receive it in any form. We do not sell the personal data we process for the account and the license.

Sign-in and hosting are provided by third parties (for example Google, and our web and database hosts). Their policies apply to what they process. If you pay for a license, the payment provider processes the payment.

The website may use a session cookie when you sign in. You can delete cookies in your browser.

We keep data only as long as needed to provide the trial, license, support, or security, or as required by law. To ask a question about this policy, use the support widget on the site.

Hush is not directed at children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under that age.
